Chilau Seafood Curry with Shrimp and Scallops

If you have never had seafood curry you must try this recipe. Following the same 2:1 ratio as other Chilau sauce preparations this recipe features the addition of Coconut Milk and Curry Powder. Feel free to get creative and adjust the meat and veggie to your preference!


  • 2 lbs Shrimp
  • 2 lbs Blue Crab
  • 2 lbs Scallops 
  • 1 Bottle #ChilauSauce (any flavor)
  • 2 Cups Coconut Milk (unsweetened) 
  • 2 Cups Chicken Broth 
  • 1 Red Onion Chopped
  • 2 Green Bell Pepper Chopped
  • 1 Cup Chopped Fresh Cilantro 
  • 1 Cup Carrots sliced
  • 1 Cup snow peas
  • 2 Cups Chopped red potatoes
  • 2 TBSP Lemon Juice
  • 2 TBSP ghee (clarified butter) 
  • 2 TBSP Curry Powder Add Salt to taste


  1. In large pot heat butter and sauté onions, bell pepper, cilantro and curry powder until tender
  2. Add all liquids and bring to boil

  3. Add veggies and simmer until tender
 Reduce heat, add blue crab and simmer until bright red

  4. Add Shrimp and Scallops and simmer for 5 minutes or until shrimp are pink and remove from heat 
  5. Server over rice with garlic bread!! #SeafoodCurry #Curry #Shrimp
