Ingredients
- 1 Jar 8oz Jar Chilau Stew Base (Original Southern Style or Creole Trinity)
- 2 Cups Beef Stock / Broth
- 1 Cup Red Wine (one you like to drink), or an additional cup of stock
- 1/2 chopped sweet onion
- 1 whole green onion chopped
- 1 stick of butter - 1.5 lb of beef
- 1 bowl of white potatoes
- 1 bowl of carrots
- 1/4 cup of flour
- Salt and Pepper to Taste
- Tools: - 4-quart pot, dutch oven, crockpot or Instappot
Preparation
- Season Beef with Salt and Pepper
- Melt butter and brown beef on both sides over medium-high heat
- Remove beef from pan and set aside
- Add chopped onions to butter and saute until tender
- Add flour and stir until dissolved in the butter
- Add the liquids, stir, and adjust the salt to taste
- Add beef back to the pot, and reduce heat to medium-low
- Simmer for 1.5 hours or until beef starts to get tender
- Add potatoes and carrots and simmer an additional hour until tender
